Stained Concrete Floors

The concrete floors in the main residence have been curing for a few weeks. It will take 28 days in all before the soy-based stain and sealer can be applied to the floors. The concrete floors will work in tandem with the radiant hydronic tubing shown in the previous post. Together the two will work as an thermal mass to evenly and efficiently distribute heat throughout the house. The Ellis’ chose to use a sandstone color soy-based concrete stain, Soycrete, and sealer from Ecoprocote.
